Dimfall - Issue 019

Apologies about the first two frames in advance. I was experimenting, and it turns out that colouring a mere sketch sucks. Not only does a coloured sketch look pants, it also takes much longer than my usual method to do.

Click to see the epic suckage!

I like the first two frames. It gives it a colorful, slightly gritty feel as it introduces the ACTION.

Awesome work as usual. :)

Nice concept :) And it really doesn't look TOO "pants". Gluck with working out the production issues!

I think this one made me laugh the hardest but they are all works of art, awesome comic =)

keep it coming

Elmi said...

Oh no, not that enormously long downtime again :(

I've been busy lately ( http://muffins.elfwood.com/ ), plus I've been playing some Fallout 3.

:)

The next comic is going to be done with markers on bristol board I think.

Wut? You've been busy drawing Aion-style winged warriors? Maaaan, you can't screw us THAT hard!

What're the chances of a Christmas / New Years / other holiday gift consisting of the next Dimfall strip?

muffins said...

The chances are zero since I had to sell my cintiq tablet to make ends meet.

:(

Ohhhh... :(

No more Dimfall?

That sucks, mate :(

Sorry to hear of your situation Muffins. You've got great skills and the ability to create a story which many would envy. Would you consider just keeping on with hand sketches? That way you can keep the story alive, and when you're back on top of things, you'll have those sketches to work from.

I also wonder if Dimfall would work out as a downloadable direct-sales product. I know of there are some places doing this -comics.drivethrustuff.com for one - and maybe that way Dimfall would get a bit of a commercial following.

Best of luck whatever happens!

Is there any chance that you would continue to make Dimfall? I'm a scriptwriter and I would write some stuff if you can't manage everything. Dimfall was so great I want more!!!

I have no shortage of ideas. I've got some 10-12 episodes storyboarded out. The problem is that it takes a lot of man-hours to draw an episode and Dimfall is only a hobby. 60% of Dimfall strips are done on my holidays for instance.

:)

So... it will return, right?

errm, seriously skript-error. Dimfall is great! I hope you keep it alive.

This comic is awesome. Have you ever thought of starting a webcomic about something else? There are tons of webcomics online lately, but I'm sure yours would become popular.

He IS popular! :)
